Because of the location being so close to the college, I'd say this is more for the business traveler and not a romantic get away.

no deal!
Room was clean and large. No fan in the bathroom so steam was an issue. No fan on air conditioner so cheesy-music and noise from pool area could be heard well after bed time. Pretty much what I expected from a Sheraton, other than parking was not complimentary ($11), and internet access is $10 extra per day. The room was very nice, although housekeeping had not properly cleaned the previous guest's beard entirely from the rim of the sink. This hotel is nice, but is located in the middle of downtown Iowa City next to all the college bars, so the noise level on a weeknight was very loud until all hours of the morning. The parking is ridiculous as there is no street parking without a meter and the parking garage is a separate price per hour! The front circle drive was under construction and it was difficult to access the entrance by car. The room was very nice and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and wanted to make sure all our questions were answered and situations taken care of. I was disappointed that there wasn't even a muffin or something offered to guests for breakfast, but a $12.00 buffet in the restaurant instead.
